Fresh Start... Loading Up My Plate

Right now, I'm still tutoring but not as much as I had a month ago. I'm devoting my time to my studies. I was supposed to begin my ten-week Pediatrics Level II fieldwork during the second week of January, but my supervisor was in an accident. She will be fine, but she won't be working for awhile. I may do this after my Physical Disabilities fieldwork this summer.

So far, this is what I have on my agenda for my Spring 2013 semester:

Electives
Integrative OT (retaking this elective), Narrative Medicine, Reach to Grasp After Stroke

CoursePhysical Disabilities II (after Spring Break)

Volunteer work: HOPE Street Survey, Food pantry at Church of the Village, Bottomless Closet

Other workPreparing for the NBCOT* exam (I want to take it immediately upon completion of my Pediatrics fieldwork), Tutoring

Personal: Hitting the gym, enjoying my free time with family and friends, Updating this blog at least once a month :)

Happy 2013!

Hello all, I hope you had a very happy new year! I got to ring in 2013 with some friends who I haven't seen since the good old college days. I got home late, but I was fortunate that a friend was able to give me a lift. Gosh, I miss Stony Brook... but I can only move forward!

Although 2012 had been a difficult year for me, I'm glad that it ended well for me. To put things in perspective, I decided to write a list of positive things that happened to me in 2012, and I managed to come up with more than 75. This reminded me that I have so much in my life.

This year, I just want to be happy, continue kicking butt... and help others since I'm a big believer in paying it forward.
